G-MEN IS ALL IN THEIR MATCH
East Rutherford, NJ – Giants running back Brandon Jacobs scores the first two touchdowns of the game in the first quarter and ends up carrying the football 9 times for 96 yards as the Giants passed the 200-yard rushing mark again and won the game 30-10 over the Baltimore
Ravens. In the first quarter where the Giants were leading by two touchdowns, the Ravens defense allowed only one rushing touchdown in the first nine games combined.

PACKERS GOES BIG ON THEIR NFC NORTH RIVALS
Green Bay, WI
– Packers RB Ryan Grant rushes for a season-high 145 yards in 25 carriers including a touchdown as the Green Bay Packers routed their NFC North divisional rival the Chicago Bears 37-3. That huge win made by Green Bay reminded them of the 1994 game in which
they won 40-3 over their same opponents. The Packers snapped a two-game losing streak while the Bears lost their two straight with QB Kyle Orton made a return to the lineup.

EAGLES-BENGALS PLAY FOR 1ST TIE IN SIX YEARS
Cincinnati
– Regulation ends with the Philadelphia Eagles tying the score 13-all by a field goal and in overtime, no scoring shows as the game ends up in a tie for the first time since 2002; where the Falcons and Steelers drew at game’s end. But for the teams, the first time that they experience a tie game in a 28-year deficit; Eagles since 1997 and Bengals since 1969. Philadelphia still didn’t get a victory at Cincinnati and are now 0-3-1 all-time.


PITT COMEBACK STINGS A CLOSE GAME
Pittsburgh
– The Chargers misery in Western Pennsylvania continues to 13 winless games as the Steelers made a comeback to win 11-10. Ben Roethlisberger stayed away from the mistakes that cost his team their previous two home games, Willie Parker ran for 115 yards and Jeff
Reed’s third field goal won it as a result of Pittsburgh’s comeback. The score was the first time in the history of the NFL a game has ended with that score.

ROMO AND NEWMAN RETURNS AS DALLAS VICTORS

– QB Tony Romo and CB Terence Newman returns as they led the Dallas Cowboys to a 14-10 over their NFC East rivals the Washington Redskins Sunday night. Romo came into the game with a heavy bandage on his right hand, protecting his broken pinkie that cost
him three games, and he overcame his first half incident filled with interceptions to complete 19 of 27 passes for 198 yards.

Denver Broncos defeats the Atlanta Falcons 24-20 as Atlanta loss their first home game this season; the Colts beat the Houston Texans 33-27 as Manning threw 320 yards; The Saints won by 30-20 over Kansas City as they won their first away game this season; Miami Dolphins gets a
victory of 17-15 as the Oakland Raiders continues their season misfortunes; NFC South members Panthers and Buccaneers respectively
won over their opponents at home; 49ers are big in the second quarter and results in a 35-16 victory over St. Louis at Candlestick Park; The Arizona Cardinals finish the Seahawks by a 6-point margin at Seattle; Tennessee Titans continues to be undefeated at 10-0 after a 24-14 win at Jacksonville.

PREMIER LEAGUE ROUND 13 RECAP
England, UK
– Geovanni of Brazil is the savior in Hull’s 2-2 draw at home against Manchester City. The first 45 minutes sees Stephen Ireland goals two to one to get his Man City squad in the lead until Hull fires back but a deadlock-end is a results. Everton and Middlesbrough also drew by a score of 1-1.

NOTABLE UEFA SCORES
In Spain, Atletico Madrid wins big 4-1 over Deportivo La Coruna with three Atletico goals dominates the second half; Numancia shocks Espanyol in the last minute as they win a close match by the score of 4-3 at Barcelona; FC Barcelona defeates Recreativo Huelva by two goals to
none; Sevilla follow suit with a 2-0 score at Getafe.
In Italy, a Kaka penalty goal is the only result in AC Milan’s win over Chievo Verona at home; Giuseppe Mascara’s hat trick gives Catania Calcio a 3-2 win against Torino; The Roma Derby ends with AS Roma’s victory over Lazio by a goal.
Other results around Europe was Ajax Amsterdam wins an upper-hand over PSV Eindhoven by 4-1; Benfica wins over Estrela Amadora in Portugal; draws occurred between Club Brugge and Anderlecht at Belgium and Zenit St. Petersburg and Dinamo Moscow in Russia.

LATIN AMERICAN RESULTS
Argentina’s notable winners are Velez Sarsfield and River Plate while Argentinos Juniors humiliated Estudiantes La Plata by a 5-0 score.
In Mexico, Club America loss to Necaxa 2-0 while Toluca beats San Luis 1-0.
In Brazil, the real winners of the day go to Flamengo, Sao Paulo, Atletico Paranaense, Gremio, and Santos FC.

THINGS HEAT UP IN SUNS’ WIN
Phoenix
– The Suns overcame the loss of Shaquille O’Neal in the second quarter and went on to beat the Detroit Pistons 104-86. Shaq was ejected in that quarter for flagrant foul type 2 on Rodney Stuckey, who goes for a layup, at the 5:18 mark and Robin Lopez fills in as a
substitute. Amare Stoudemire, in his 26th birthday Sunday, had 29 points and 11 rebounds with one each in assists and blocks. He also has two steals.

MAGIC’S TEAM EFFORTS PROVES IT
Charlotte
– Hedo Turkoglu scored 20 points to lead his four mates in double figures in a 90-85 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. Orlando’s top performer goes to point guard Jameer Nelson, who had 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Dwight Howard played only 26 minutes
before fouling out for the first time since March 25 of last season. He finished with only four points and five blocks.

NOWITZKI ERUPTS AS MAVS ROLL IN OT
New York City
– Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 39 points in a 124-114 over the New York Knicks at the Garden. The Mavericks closed the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run and then outscored New York 12-2 in overtime to snap the team’s five-game losing streak. For the Knicks’ top performer, Zach Randolph had 27 points and 18 rebounds but started the game 7-for-7 from the field and then missed 10 of his final 13 shots.


OTHER NBA RESULTS
Chris Bosh helps the Toronto Raptors put the fire out on the Miami Heat in a 107-96 win at home to snap Toronto’s two-game losing streak; The Denver Nuggets rolled over the Minnesota Timberwolves 90-84 with Chaunce Billups scoring 26 points and five each in rebounds and assists;
San Antonio Spurs won a close game by the score of 90-88 at Sacramento with Tim Duncan had 20 points and 10 rebounds with 4 assists and 3 blocks.

NHL-BEST SHARKS GOES ON TOP IN WINDY CITY
Chicago
– The best team in the NHL, the Pacific Division-leading San Jose Sharks, shows how they are the really best as they beat the Chicago Blackhawks 6-5 at the United Center. The Sharks’ power play throughout the game started to show some bite with Devin Setoguchi
scoring a power-play goal that gave the Sharks’ victory with 4:15 left in the game.

HILLER SAVES 29 EN ROUTE TO HIS FIRST SHUTOUT
Anaheim – Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller came close to posting his first NHL shutout since become Jean-Sebastien Giguere’s backup but he’s able to hold on as his Anaheim Ducks defeated the Los Angeles Kings two goals to none. Hiller made 29 saves while Giguere got the day off and Anaheim got off the game in style with Corey Perry and Bret Hedican scoring the Duck’s two goals in the game.




OTHER NHL RESULTS
The coaching debut of Rick Tocchet got spoiled as the Tampa Bay Lightning loses 3-2 to the Carolina Hurricanes in a shootout; The Montreal Canadiens defeated the St. Louis Blues 3-2 in a shootout; the red-hot Atlanta Thrashers was defeated by the Philadelphia Flyers by the score of 4-3.

DJOKOVIC BECOMES SHANGHAI MASTER
Shanghai, China
– Serbia’s Novak Djokovic wins the ATP Tennis Masters Cup final by defeating Russia’s Nikolai Davydenko 6-1, 7-5. That Masters Cup win was the first in Djokovic’s career and Shanghai will be the last time that a season-ending championship will be hosts as starting in 2009, the Tennis Masters Cup will go under the name ATP World Tour Finals and will be held at London, England.



YURVAJ SINGH SEES OFF ENGLAND IN CRICKET
Indore, India
– Yuvraj Singh makes 118 and then takes 4-28 as India beat England by 54 runs and take a 2-0 lead in the seven-game one-day series.
